After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Chou received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She gained extensive experience in Cornea, Contact Lenses, medical diagnosis, and full-scope medical management of anterior and posterior ocular disease while training at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Dr. Chou enjoys fitting scleral lenses, myopia control, and managing dry eye disease. Her clinical training includes cornea disease, specialty contact lenses, keratoconus, corneal ectasia, and pre/post-surgical management. Dr. Chou is passionate about community and public service, continually striving to make quality eye care available to all.
Dr. Chou is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), and the Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW). She volunteers in many public eye health care programs such as Remote Area Medical (RAM), World Relief Memphis Eye Clinic, and Student Volunteers Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH).
When not in the clinic, Dr. Chou enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking and hanging out with Charlie, her dog.
